August 14,2007 -RS Deol, a major Real Estate Investments & Property Development syndicate step up to the plate as a sponsor and buys Enviro-Vac 40s new dry-fit jersies and hats. August 7, 2007 Enviro-Vac Marauder 50s won the 50 Competitive, SPN Canadian Nationals on Monday after 4-days of play that started on Friday, August 3rd. The Competitive level is the highest level of Senior Softball in Canada. Enviro-Vac needed to play the IF game after loosing the first game of the double KO.to the Burnaby Barons. Enviro-Vac’s Short Stop, Reggie Bonn got tournament MVP.The win at the Nationals should give the team a birth to the SSUSA Tournament of Champions in Florida, February 15/16/17, 2008. The birth to the TOC is part of an agreement between SPN and Senior Softball USA to promote senior softball for the Masters & Senior program in North America.February 13, 2007

February 10, 2007 - Softball barnstormer Eddie Feigner of “The King & His Court” passed away at age 81 yesterday. Feigner with his trademark crewcut and bulging right arm and his four man team crossed the country for more than 50 years taking on all challengers. Feigner with his 104 MPH fastball recorded 930 no-hitters, 238 perfect games and struck out 141,517 batters in more than 10,000 games. In a nationally televised exhibition game in 1964 from Dodger Stadium, Eddie struck out now MLB Hall of famers Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Maury Wills, Harmon Killebrew, Roberto Clemente, and Brooks Robinson in order. Rest In Peace Eddie.
January 2007 Update - Regarding our 40s League in Abbotsford: News from the League meeting this January indicates the league will go with an optic ball this season as well as implementing the run by rule at home. Anticipated start date for the Masters league is April 17, 2007.
~ A$$ bans grand-fathered bats effective January 1, 2008. The list includes Miken freak 100s and Synergy 2 to name a few. Click the link below & read the story. I have not heard if SPN will follow suit or not.
